MONITOR

The monitor is an output device while you are doing any operation on the computer system you can view and follow on the monitor screen. It is like a TV screen where you can also watch movies.

KEYBOARD

This is an input device. It has just over a 104keys. It is used to enter and alter any work being done in a computer programme.

MOUSE

This is an input device. It has buttons which one clicks to open a programs or run a particular command. The mouse controls the cursor on the screen. You move and control the mouse under the palm of your hands

STORAGE COMPONENT
Storage devices are used to save any work which you have done and would like to view or modify later.
Examples:
- The floppy diskette
- The hard drive
- The CD Rom
- The DVD

CPU

This is the central processing unit where information is processed. It is the main brain of the computer system. The main unit and the main processor chip inside are both generally termed the CPU.

PRINTER

This is an output device. After you have completed your work on the screen and you are satisfied with what you see, you then send your document to print on paper. The printed document can now be used to present to someone or used in many ways.

SCANNER
It is an input device . This is used to bring text or photos onto the screen into a document as an incent or just saved as an independent out file .

SPEAKER

An output device. To listen to any audio output from the computer. Like music’s

MIKE
An input device. It is used to enter audio signals into the computer system for processing. Which is used while chatting, recording your voice.
